Dinkytown Lighting Update
The City of Minneapolis plans to begin installing new pedestrian street lighting in the Dinkytown Phase 2 area later this summer. The project has been moved up in the construction schedule after other planned lighting projects were postponed due to future capital improvements.
The lighting work is already fully funded through the City's Pedestrian Street Light Corridor program, so there will be no assessments to adjacent property owners. The City also plans to coordinate the work with other nearby pedestrian improvement projects and minimize temporary parking restrictions throughout construction.
