LITTER CONTAINER PROGRAM
The East Bank Neighborhoods Partnership has adopted 31 litter containers throughout our neighborhoods. Working with the City of Minneapolis’ Solid Waste & Recycling department, EBNP pays about $466 each month (just over $5500 annually) to have these litter containers emptied by the City once per week. Our adopted containers are represented by the red stars you see on the adjacent map.
Funding for EBNP’s Litter Container Program is made possible by the Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP). These funds are slowly dwindling, and we hope that our residents, local businesses, and other stakeholder could help us defray these costs.
Minneapolis residents and other property owners can easily work with the city to adopt an additional litter container, for as little as $12 a month. Payment can be automatically be added to your city utility bill. Learn more about this program by visiting:
