We are the East Bank.

The East Bank Neighborhoods Partnership works to maintain and enhance the physical, social and economic environment of our neighborhoods.

The East Bank Neighborhoods Partnership (EBNP) brings together residents, businesses, and institutional partners to strengthen the neighborhoods surrounding the University of Minnesota and the Mississippi River. By organizing community engagement, advancing neighborhood-led projects, and coordinating resources and partnerships, EBNP helps improve public spaces, support local business districts, and enhance quality of life across the East Bank. As a collaborative, place-based organization, it ensures that ongoing growth and change in these neighborhoods are guided by community priorities, resulting in a more connected, resilient, and vibrant urban environment.

We are the organization that helps the East Bank neighborhoods function as a connected, organized community instead of a collection of disconnected places.

We connect people.

EBNP creates spaces—meetings, events, committees—where:

  • residents

  • businesses

  • student residents

  • institutions

can interact, share concerns, and shape decisions.

Without our structure, neighborhoods can become fragmented and reactive.

EBNP Gets Things Done.

We turn ideas into real, visible improvements, such as:

  • gardens and green spaces

  • community events

  • bike and pedestrian initiatives

  • public realm improvements

  • business district support

EBNP is not just a forum—we are an implementation organization.

We Steward Shared Spaces.

Neighborhoods don’t maintain themselves.

EBNP helps care for:

  • parks and gardens

  • streets and public spaces

  • community infrastructure

This is the “ongoing care” function that often goes unseen but is essential.
