Registration for Doors Open Minneapolis and City Stories ticketed events are now open. Use the link below view all of the offerings and get your tickets!

Ticketed Events

This year, we’ve expanded our ticketed offerings to include a wider range of experiences. Some take place during Doors Open weekend, while others are part of the week leading up to it through the broader City Stories festival. About half the experiences are $20 or less, others are priced higher and offer unique, in-depth, or exclusive experiences.

We hope you find something that excites you!

 

Experiences during Doors Open Minneapolis (May 9th - 10th) include:

  • A tour and shootaround at the Target Center

  • A tour of the Minneapolis downtown waterfront by Owámniyomni Okhódayapi

  • A sauna experience at the Yard

  • An owner-led tour of Architectural Antiques

  • The first ever behind-the-scenes tour of Utepils Brewery

  • The “Luminary Society” gathering with food, beverages, and an exploration of the Northwestern National Life Building.

 

Experiences during the City Stories festival (May 2nd – May 10th), include:

  • A sunset boat tour led by a celebrated local historian

  • An F. Scott Fitzgerald walking tour followed by cocktails and trivia

  • A mixer followed by a talk led by a nationally acclaimed architect

  • A tour of WCCO radio studios and a chance to meet on-air personalities

  • Tours of St. Paul’s City Hall

  • Tours of St. Paul’s Landmark Center

  • A walking tour of the University of Minnesota’s modernist East-Bank architecture

Doors Open Minneapolis 2026 is May 9 + 10th. Doors Open events are free public celebrations that invite people to explore the buildings, spaces, and stories that shape a city’s identity.  During Doors Open venues of architectural, cultural, civic, and social significance open their doors to the public—many offering behind-the-scenes access not typically available.
