Once led by the Nicollet Island East Bank Neighborhood Association, the beloved Dog Parade is back—and it’s going to be paws-itively awesome! This year, the East Bank Neighborhoods Partnership is unleashing the fun in true East Bank style—and your furry friend is officially invited.

Location: Start & End in Historic Main Street Park - 420 Main St. SE
Minneapolis, MN 55414 Meet us in the large green space off Main St., South of E Hennepin Ave & Merriam St. Bridge and North of the Central Ave underpass
Bring your pup (and their people) for a tail-wagging good time as dogs of every breed, size, and age parade proudly down Hennepin Avenue. After the strut, stick around Historic Main Street Park for a bark-worthy celebration featuring:
Local businesses & pet-friendly vendors
Treats and tail wags
Paws-itively fun contests with prizes
A chance to sniff out new friends from around the Twin Cities!
Whether your dog is a seasoned show-off or just wants to fetch some attention, this free event is sure to be the ulti-mutt evening out.

Event Schedule
📍 5:30 PM – Paws on the Ground
Sniff out your spot and gather in the big green space at Historic Main Street Park (just south of Hennepin Ave & Merriam St. Bridge). It’s the paw-fect place to meet, mingle, and snap a few pre-parade pics!
🐕 6:00 PM – And We’re Off!
The East Bank Dog Parade kicks off! Strut your mutt down Hennepin Avenue in full wag-worthy style.
🏆 6:30 PM – Paws 4 Applause: It’s Contest Time!
Back at the park, it’s time to let your pup shine in our fur-bulous contests:
🎭 Best Costume – Dress to impress!
👯 Best Human–Dog Look-Alike – Twinning is winning.
🎩 Best Trick – Show off that paw-some talent!
👋 7:30 PM – Paws and Reflect
That’s a wrap! Say your fur-wells and head home.
Parade Route
It takes a pack to pull off a paw-some event like the East Bank Dog Parade, and we’d love your help! Whether you're great at herding humans, handing out treats, or setting up the paw-ty, we’re looking for volunteers to lend a paw before, during, and after the event.
